First and foremost: Great experience.

Some Additional Details: After experiencing what I would consider to be unethical billing practices at a different eye clinic in the area, I was on the lookout for a new Eye Care provider.

Problem: I'm kind of lazy in addition to being forgetful, so it was mid-December and I've still not used the Eye Care insurance that I've been paying for all year and was scrambling to find a place (preferably local) that could fit me in.

Solution: Granite City Family Eye Care! They were able to fit me in without issue so that I could get my visit and any orders entered before the end of the year.

Experience: Really, it was great. Staff was, across the board, very friendly and helpful. Any non-standard expenses that I might incur were mentioned to me BEFORE they were performed, which is the way it should be. I was mostly just looking for either cheap new glasses or replacing my lenses since I only wear them at night, and they had a wide variety of options either fully or mostly covered by my (relatively basic) insurance. Overall was really happy, and I plan on being a returning client.

Dr. Becky is the best! And her, and all of the support staff are friendly, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. I wish I could get my eyes checked more than once a year just to visit more often! I truly appreciate all they do.

Dr. Becky and her staff are very thorough! They found an eye condition that other providers missed and gave me several treatment options. I highly recommend this office, they are great!

Just a great all around experience. Had a piece of metal in my eye and after being told I couldn't get in that day by two other clinics in town(I'm not from the St. Cloud area) the staff assured me Dr Hofer would see me. I waited maybe 1 minute and I'm so glad I went here! Excellent staff all around, and the cherry on top is after developing an ulcer where the object was, Dr Hofer gave me a way to personally contact her over the Labor Day weekend just Incase. I'm wasn't even a patient there but my family and I will be for life now making the 1.5 hour drive.

If you're looking for a new team for your vision health you have found it! I found them here on Google Maps when I had a very bad experience with a larger chain vision place. I'm really glad I did. Not only was the service superior and super friendly. She also found an issued that needed to be addressed that the other place missed completely.

Becky and everyone else at GC Family Eye Care are beyond fantastic. I have struggled with my vision since a childhood accident almost took my right eye. I've been to MANY optometrists over the years but nobody has been as thorough, caring and understanding with my vision issues as Becky and the crew. Great frame selection and amazing customer service. I'll never go anywhere else!

I've been seeing Dr Hofer for about 5 years now and she's amazing! Super fun to chat with too.

I'm very impressed with this place, everyone who works here went above and beyond the standard for customer service. I really want to thank them for their patience with my youngest children, the eye doctor was so great when it came to my two year olds eye exam! All of us that needed glasses found a pair that fit us well! 6 stars if I could. And it is located inside the Octagon Professional Building on 33rd.

Thank you Dr. Hofer for squeezing in an appointment to check the dark spots and squiggly lines in my right eye. You took the time to perform tests and explain that I'm experiencing posterior vitreous detachment, which is normal for my age. You quenched my suspicions and fears.

Becky is great! But getting someone to answer the phone or call back has become impossible. Might have to find somewhere else to go.

Jenny is the most caring person! She has empathy for people and is so compassionate -especially when working with the elderly.

Took my 2 year old daughter there this morning to have her eyes checked. I was very worried how it was going to go but Dr Becky was AMAZING with her! Will highly rec!recommend!
